We do PE on: Monday and Wednesday

We test spellings on: Monday

We practise our times tables: Daily using TT Rockstars.

Our daily homework is to read to an adult at home, practise our times tables on TT Rockstars and learn our spellings in order to ensure we make the best possible progress during our time in Year 4

Additional homework will be set occasionally throughout the year.

21.9.18 - This week has been Year 4's Orchard Week. To mark this, we spent lots of time down in the Orchard completing a selection of activities. We used our Geography skills to map out the Orchard, completed a colour hunt to link with our art work, collected items to make aboriginal story sticks and used the ipads to take and edit our own photos. Here are a few action shots!

13.9.18 - We have been looking at developing our place value knowledge in Maths, we created a giant number line in the classroom and tried to order 3 and 4 digit numbers on it. The children used their knowledge and reasoning skills to justify where numbers should be on the number line. We also played a 'what's changed' game where the children had to figure out which numbers had changed places. Super learning - Well done Year 4!

 

13.9.18 - We have really enjoyed learning about and recreating the work of Georgia O'Keeffe over the last two weeks for Art weeks. We have recreated stags head, devloped our watercolour painting skills and we finished today by developing our collage skills based on a forest scene.

 

During the first of our two transition days we had lots of fun getting to know each other and our new classroom routines. We played games inside the classroom and completed a range of drama activities in the hall.
