On Thursday 7th January Year 3 went on a school trip to Leeds.

They had an interesting morning visiting the Beth Hamidrash Hagadol Synagogue to learn about a Jewish place of worship and its traditions.

They then spent the afternoon at Leeds City Museum to visit their Ancient Worlds Exhibit and take part in a workshop about Ancient Egypt. We had lots of fun researching the different aspect of Ancient Egyptian life in the exhibit and even had the opportunity to see the Leeds Mummy, Nesyamun, up close! The workshop was also lots of fun and gave us the opportunity to learn more about the process of mummification, make amulets based on Ancient Egyptian designs and create our own Egyptian Gods and Goddesses.
