On Monday 16th January 2017, Year 6 spent a fantastic day in London visiting a number of well-known sights and attractions.

Their day started incredibly early when they arrived at school at 6:15. This was followed by a non-stop 15 hours which saw them visit Buckhingham Palace, 10 Downing Street, Tate Britain and the Houses of Parliament for a tour and workshop. The children were lucky enough to also see the Changing of the Guard and, as we had spare time before our train, visit Platform 9 and 3/4. We eventually arrived back to school at 9:30pm.

The children behaved impeccably throughout the visit and we are incredibly proud of the mature and sensible attitude they exhibited. Keep up the good work Year 6!

This year, 49 children from Year 5 and Year 6 took part in the September residential to Kingswood at Colomendy in Wales. The children had a fantastic time taking part in over 25 exciting and adventurous activities, all aimed at encouraging them to take risks, challenge themselves and to 'be the best that they can  be'.

Children in Year 4,5 and 6 made a visit to the Bradford Media museum on Tuesday September 13th. The children took part in a media project to create an animation for a Roman scene. This is linked to the KS2 topic on Life as a Roman. The chidlren were also lucky enough to watch a 3D film in the Imax cinema. Everyone had a wonderful day looking around the museum. Mrs Whelerton, class teacher and visit leader was very proud of all the children.
