There are currently two vacancies at Athelstan School

 Athelstan School is going through a period of growth and expansion and is therefore looking to recruit outstanding candidates both Teaching and Non teaching to join our school .Recruitment will be in line with the school growth and its move to two form entry.

Play Worker Grade C Scale point 2 -4   15 hours per week

Established post Term Time only

 We are currently looking to increase the staffing for our Early Years unit work within the before and after school provision. You must be committed to following a creative, child centred approach to teaching and learning and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You would work alongside an established motivated and supportive Early Years Team, led by our Deputy Head teacher

You must:

  • Be an outstanding candidate
  • An understanding of and commitment to the provision of good quality childcare
  • An understanding of food hygiene rules
  • Health & safety knowledge, including lifting and handling and fire prevention
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Knowledge of healthy eating
  • Be an excellent team player contributing to the foundation stage as a whole
  • Be confident in communicating positively with parents, and all other stakeholders on a daily basis.
  • Be hardworking and willing to contribute to the whole school ethos
  • Have a sense of fun!

Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant /MSA/Playworker 

14 hours 20 minutes per week.   Established post

3 hours to work within the Early Years Before school club  worked over 3 days 7.40am- 8.40am ( Tues/Wed/Thursday)

7.5 hours to work within Early Years worked over 3 days 8.45am -11.15am (Tues/Wed/Thurs) 

3 hours  50 mins to work with Early Years during the lunch period worked over 3 days (11.30am -12.40pm Tues/Wed/Turs)

We are looking to appoint hardworking, conciensous individuals to work within the Early Years team. You must be committed to following a creative, child centred approach to teaching and learning and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.   • To support the team to ensure that all children attending the setting receive a creative, inspiring and stimulating learning environment with high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences both indoors and outdoors.
