Some of the Year 4's have been hard at work this term learning how to play music instruments such as guitars and keyboards. Today (17.12.19), they shared their skills with their friends and played a variety of christmas songs for them to listen to. Fantastic effort Year 4!

As part of a georgraphy session, Year 4 used natural materials to create a world map. They then located and named the seven continents.

Powerdown Pete visted Athelstan today to talk to us about conserving energy in our homes and in school. He worked with both Year 4 classes to teach them about the many ways we can help the environment.

As part of Year 4's outdoor topic, the children went down to the orchard to try camouflage themselves between the trees and bushes. They used facepaints to help disguise themselves and, as a team, position themselves in different ways so that they couldn't be seen.

Year 4 enjoyed three days in Skipton at High Adventure. They participated in many activities including weasling, archery and a local village walk up Earl Crag. The children enhanced their teamwork skills and supported each other in tricky challenges and tasks. We all had a great time!
